A sod-turning ceremony has been held to signify the start of work to construct a new village hall for Hauxton Parish Council.
Our Construction Team was joined by a number of past Village Hall Management Committee Chairmen and trustees, along with current parish councillors, to break the ground and enjoy a glass celebratory fizz.
The new hall, designed by Cambridge Architects Cavaleri Partnership, has flexible accommodation allowing for a variety of social activities within the growing local community. External spaces will also be improved with a cross laminated timber pergola, seating and landscaping, whilst retaining the existing football pitch. Care has been taken to mitigate ecological impact during the works, with temporary tree protection and amphibian barrier fencing.
Our construction team will be working with our in-house specialist divisions Bowie Groundworks and ABS Mechanical and Electrical Services to deliver the project, which is planned for completion in July 2020.
