In time honoured tradition, a topping-out ceremony has been carried out at The Nest - a new Community Hub in Horsford, Norfolk, to mark reaching the highest point of the building's structure.

The project's trustees, funders, and a number of guests joined us on site as Zoe Ward, Trustee, and Jackie Thorton, Head of Development for Norwich City FC's Community Sports Foundation were elevated to the building's apex to sign the steelwork and cover the beam with beer, brewed by Woodforde's, Norfolk. Bottles labelled to commemorate the event were also given to the on-lookers.

The new hub, designed by Chaplin Farrant Architects, will see the existing sports facilities expand to create a new club-house with changing, teaching and multi-use facilities, as well as a 3G sports pitch, ensuring a further 12,000 members of the local community can benefit from the work of the foundation, through sport.

Our specialist division Bowie Groundworks have completed substructure works and our in-house teams from ABS Mechanical and Electrical will install services later in the project, which is due for completion in October.
