This month has seen the handover of Greenpark Academy, a 420-place primary school with sports field and a 56-place nursery, constructed in the Northern quarter of King's Lynn.
The £9m Design and Build project has been completed for Norfolk County Council, in conjunction with NPS Property Consultants, as part of the Council’s Framework for Major Construction Works.
The new school will provide cutting edge facilities for the staff and children who previously occupied St Edmund’s Academy. These now empty buildings are set to be refurbished and modernised by Cocksedge, as part of a newly secured Norfolk County Council Framework Project, to provide accommodation for the new Fen Rivers Academy Primary and Secondary Schools.
As we now move forward on the Government’s roadmap for lifting lockdown the full cohort of students will soon benefit from the new facilities at Greenpark Academy, whilst the ceilings come down and the floors come up in their old classrooms as we continue our involvement with improving educational facilities for children and young people in the area.
