The conversion and remodeling works included significant structural alterations including new basement level foundations, reinforced concrete floor slabs and steel column and beam insertions. The design included a large roof top extension to form a 3rd floor penthouse apartment. The roof extension was formed with a prefabricated timber frame, designed in panel sizes to accommodate the site’s lifting and distribution restrictions. The roof extension is finished with standing seem zinc effect vertical cladding with a single ply flat roofing system. The penthouse extension also includes an aluminum framed conservatory with terraced areas.
