BRIEF OVERVIEW

The project comprised an extensive refurbishment of the College’s kitchen, servery and associated areas to improve the provision of catering, safety for staff and diners, and the overall dining experience for Fellows and scholars at evening meals. The works included removal and replacement of all existing kitchen and servery equipment; replacement of associated mechanical and electrical services; replacement of lifts; extension to the lift shaft; remodelling of internal areas; and removal and reconstruction of the existing roof over the first-floor servery.

The Old Courts building is a Grade I listed structure and the refurbishment work include a high quality fit out with bespoke joinery and commercial grade kitchen installation, Our delivery team worked closely with the college stakeholders to mitigate disruption which included temporary alternative access routes, careful and supervised traffic management for deliveries, and working within noise and vibration limits.
