The project comprised construction of new community hub with a large performance and activity hall, library, meeting room, café, servery and outdoor seating area. The building was constructed with a steel frame and glulam beams. The natural timber cladding resonates with the woodland setting and services installation include renewable energy sources, underfloor heating and specialist audio and lighting installations. Fenestration includes aluminium windows, doors and screens and the external pergola is part glazed providing a seating area overlooking the adjacent sports field. Our Delivery Team worked closely with project stakeholders to ensure construction noise and traffic management impact was minimised and the external sports facilities remained in use during the project.
