The works comprised structural remodelling and improvements to convert a former primary school for secondary school accommodation. The new facilities have been purposely designed for The Fen Rivers Academy which offers full time education and therapeutic support for children aged 5 to 16 who are referred to the school by the local authority for SEN provision. To cater for the student’s needs the project includes specialist classrooms, access control, protective installations and robust FFE. The project was completed directly adjacent the Fen Rivers Primary School and required safeguarding protocols and agreement of time slots for noisy works and deliveries.
