The time-capsule was filled with artifacts and memories by the theatre staff, local school children and the public and hidden away for future generations to find. The time capsule was set in place by the Lord Mayor of Cambridge during the auditorium remodelling and refurbishment project. This £9m contract is well under way and will see a full refit and modernisation of the theatre’s auditorium and back of house areas, including a complex upgrade of building services installations and specialist theatre lighting. The project is on track to meet a deadline set by the client to allow opening of the new facilities in time for the end of year pantomime. Our in-house divisions ABS electrical, ABS mechanical and ABS joinery are working on the project to provide specialist installations under Cocksedge’s appointment as Main Contractor.
