The initial phase of the project will see the East Wing of Big School undergo building fabric repairs and structural alterations to upgrade existing Classrooms and incorporate new offices. The scheme also includes the insertion of a new second floor structure to provide the first phase of a new exams centre. A major part of the brief is to upgrade insulation and improve energy efficiency of the exiting building, originally constructed in 1903.
We are pleased to be working with Project Management and Cost Consultants Daniel Connal Partnership and Structural and Civil Engineer’s Rossi Long Consulting to realise Hudson Architects’ design.
Once complete the adjoining Reith Block will also undergo a programme of improvements, as part of the overall design brief for the two existing buildings.
This project continues our involvement at Gresham’s following the refurbishment of the Pre-Prep School completed over the summer.
